History was made twice this month with Caravella Football Academy not only being the first ever Queensland team to compete in the highly regarded Yanmar Cup in Osaka but the first Australian team to bring home silverware.
Our U12 representative squad were one of 32 elite U12 football teams – mainly from Japan but with inclusions from Thailand and fellow Aussie academy Futboltec – to compete, with the squad reaching the semi-finals only to play off for third place.
There were live-streams enjoyed by our Caravella community direct from Japan, with two nail-biting games coming down to penalty shootouts.
A highlights video package is under construction as we prepare for our next interstate trip for our U10’s and U11’s – Old Sydney Town this December.
